2011 saw Sligo Kayak Club represented by a team for the first and certainly not the last time in the Liffey Descent.
Its like the london marathon of kayaking and the biggest such race in Europe. it has the serious marathon racers, the everyday and now and again paddlers to the once a year dress up and have the craic paddlers.
A great day was had and coming (nearly) last does not matter at all. (I'm told)
